Information for parents if your child is attending a London Bushcraft Party

PLEASE NOTIFY THE PARENT HOST ORGANISING THE PARTY THE FOLLOWING: 

  • Your emergency contact details plus an alternative emergency contact (name and telephone number)

  • Any medical condition, allergy or special dietary requirements (eg: asthma, material, food, insect bites etc)

  • Treatment required for any medical conditions

  • Please notify the parent host if you do not give permission for photos or video to be taken of your child during the activity.   These may be used for London Bushcraft training or qualification purposes and/or publicity and Website.  If you do not let your host parent know we will assume we have permission.

PLEASE BRING FOR YOUR CHILD:​

  • A water bottle 
  • Comfortable clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty and are appropriate to the weather conditions.

  • Waterproof jacket if rain is likely (and waterproof trousers if you have them)

  • Closed toe shoes such as trainers or walking boots (No sandals or flip flops)

  • Sunscreen or hat if it’s sunny

ARRIVAL TIME

We ask guests to arrive 15 minutes before the start of the party and ensure their child has used the toilet when they arrive, so they will have more time for the fun activities and so we can start on time.

IMPORTANT CONSENT INFORMATION

 By sending your child to this London Bushcraft activity you give permission for your son/daughter to take part in this London Bushcraft activity. You must ensure that your child understands that it is important for his/her safety and for the safety of the group that any rules and instructions given by the leaders are adhered to. While the London Bushcraft leaders are in charge of the group and will take all reasonable care for the young people, they cannot however be held responsible for any loss, damage or injury suffered by your child, unless they are negligent. By sending your child to this London Bushcraft activity you consent to any emergency medical treatment necessary during the course of the activity.

WHAT HAPPENS IF IT RAINS?

Staff will provide additional shelter in case of rain. It’s all part of the experience! Plus we are ask everyone to bring a waterproof jacket.

 

TOILETS AND WATER 

At all of the venues there are toilets, hand washing facilities and drinking water to refill water bottles.

 

PARENT HELPERS 

If you have asked to be a parent helper, the role of parent helpers is to help keep an eye on everyone to help ensure the safety of the children and help out the instructor as required on the day.

LOCATION, DIRECTIONS AND PARKING 

There is parking at all of the venues and the group will gather in or near the car park. Please see additional information if you have been invited to a party at either of the below locations.
